At Northholm Grammar, education is more than a curriculum – it’s a launchpad for lives of purpose and accomplishment. Our mission is to deliver a distinctive, high-quality learning experience that empowers every student to discover who they are, unlock their potential and step confidently into the future.
As students enter their senior Secondary Years, they come to a pivotal point where they start making decisions about what careers or further study opportunities they want to pursue after graduating. They will start to choose studies and pathways which may potentially set the course of their working life – this can be a daunting proposition for our young people.
To support our students at this crucial juncture, Northholm Grammar developed the Creating Futures Evening for Years 10, 11 and 12 students and their parents and carers. Held in early April this year, this event is an important educational opportunity for our students to develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes in making informed decisions about their life, study and career options.
The evening offered panels, presentations and interactive booths with leading professionals and ambassadors across a range of fields – including representatives from various Universities, ADF, NSW Police Academy, Teach NSW, the International College of Management, Sydney Design School and the National Institute of Dramatic Art, to name a few.
More than a traditional career’s fair, the Creating Futures Evening also highlights the message that knowing what you want to do is not as important as developing the skills and dispositions to build resilience, integrity, confidence and relationships.
Thank you to our 2025 keynote speakers Nate Atkinson (Principal), Nathan Dann (Manager, Organic Entertainment) and Emelie Gartner (Northholm Grammar Alumna, Dux 2024). Their insights and experiences provided valuable guidance, helping our students shape their professional identities and future aspirations. A special thank you to Mrs Kate Arthur for her expert leadership in organising this inspiring event and to every staff member, parent/carer and guest who supported our students on the night.
Northholm Grammar is committed to producing graduates of character who are motivated to achieve, proudly stand for excellence and are instilled with the skills to succeed. It is our hope that they find a sense of achievement of their full potential at School so they can leave as strong independent citizens capable and well prepared for the next stage of their lives and ready to take on the many challenges that may come their way.
