Overseas Study Tours and Student Exchanges

As a Grammar School, Northholm is committed to broadening the linguistic knowledge of its students beyond the traditionally accepted view.

Language and culture are closely linked and we aim to offer our students an opportunity to experience the culture of their chosen language by visiting the country, hosting homestay students or acting as a Northholm ambassador if selected as an exchange student.

Apart from language students, Northholm caters for students who wish to experience a culture different from their own by participating in Cultural Tours or projects in developing countries. We have helped build a school in Vietnam, visited Greece, Turkey and China.

Trekking in challenging environments provides the opportunity for personal growth. Treks have been arranged to Peru and the Himalayas.

Sporting tours are offerred to our talented sports men and women and we regularly host visiting overseas teams.

Junior students are able to benefit by participating in an international collaborative project with schools on the west coast of the United States.

Northholm has a long-standing exchange with the Zion Baptist Church in Philadelphia and a decade of exchange with Tosajuku Junior Senior High School in Japan.
