Creative Arts

The co-curricular courses for Art are many and varied. Northholm's dedication to Art and Design stems from the dedicated staff who teach in this area. All of the staff in the Art Department at Northholm are professional artists in their fields.

Every week a group of enthusiastic students attend extra art classes. Painting, pottery and drawing classes are taught by local artists. These classes are designed to be less structured than normal art classes so as to allow students to explore their more creative inspirations without a set syllabus.

Design and Technology classes are offered at lunchtime throughout the school year and are extremely popular with students.

Students are also offered the opportunity to attend photography classes after school and on weekends. These classes have relaxed hours so that students can enjoy the luxury of following an idea through to completion.
